"Dagnefteprodukt" concerned about possible stop of oil transit via Makhachkala

The Russian "Transneft" State Company has tightened the requirements for the quality of the oil delivered from Kazakhstan via Makhachkala, which actually makes the transit of oil through the port of Makhachkala impossible, said the spokesman of the Joint-Stock Company (JSC) "Dagnefteprodukt".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 9 it became known that the "Transneft" – the Russian State Company, transporting almost 90% of crude oil in the country, – said about a possible termination of oil transit via Makhachkala, because of the criminal situation at the "Dagnefteprodukt" and the absence of reaction to this by Dagestani authorities. On July 19, the trans-shipment of oil at the port began restoring.

According to Nikolai Tokarev, the head of the "Transneft", the positive developments have become possible thanks to the "right response" to the situation.
