In Khasavyurt, one man killed in shootout with law enforcers

In Dagestan, law enforcer have shot and killed a driver of a car. According to them, he opened fire when they tried to stop his car to check his documents.

"Law enforcers eliminated him by return fire," the "Interfax" quotes a source from the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan.

According to the source, law enforcers have identified the killed man. "According to the preliminary information, the killed man is identified as Ruslan Batsiev, a 38-year-old resident of Khasavyurt, who had earlier criminal record," reported the source as quoted by the "Interfax-South".

According to the law enforcement bodies, in 1998, Ruslan Batsiev was put on the federal wanted list on suspicion of fabrication and use of false money. In 2003, he joined an illegal armed formation (IAF), and for that he was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment; however, in 2008, he was released on parole, the RIA "Dagestan" reports today with reference to a source from the law enforcement bodies.
