Witness in Nemtsov's case reports threats

Zarina Isoeva, a concierge, who is a witness in the murder case of the politician Boris Nemtsov, has stated that in May-June this year, she received threats with a demand not to testify at the trial.

Boris Nemtsov was shot dead on February 27, 2015, in Moscow. Within his murder case five natives from Chechnya and Ingushetia were arrested, including Zaur Dadaev, brothers Anzor and Shagid Gubashev, Tamerlan Eskerkhanov and Khamzat Bakhaev. The criminal case also involves Chechen officers Ruslan Mukhudinov, Ruslan Geremeev, and Beslan Shavanov, who was killed during his detention.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since October 3, the Moscow District Military Court has been considering, with the participation of the jury, the case of Boris Nemtsov's murder. On November 15, the court questioned the above Zarina Isoeva, a concierge of No. 46 inVeyernaya   Street in Moscow, where, according to her story, Ruslan Geremeev owned one of the apartments, while defendants Zaur Dadaev and Tamerlan Eskerkhanov were among his guests.

"I received threats in May-early June 2016; I don't know from whom. The man spoke with Caucasian accent and told me to disappear from Moscow. In August, I turned to the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF); and they ensured my protection," Zarina Isoeva has stated today.

According to her story, it was because of the threats that she did not confess at the start of the investigation that she had recognized Anzor Gubashev and Beslan Shavanov (according to the prosecution, they followed Nemtsov before the murder).

Isoeva has also stated that she recognizes the men in the video record made about an hour before the murder at the exit from the GUM (Department Store). Boris Nemtsov was there with his girlfriend at that moment.

Besides, Isoeva said that back in February 2015, that is, before the murder of Nemtsov, Ruslan Geremeev personally threatened her, demanding that she "keeps her mouth shut, otherwise, it would be bad," the BBC reports.
