NCFD and SFD regions take top seven places in sobriety rating
The Chechen Republic is in the lead of the "2016 National Sobriety Rating of Russia's Regions".
According to the results of the nationwide research project "Sober Russia" and the Expert-Analytical Centre of the Public Chamber, published today, the leader is Chechnya with 12.8 points; then come Ingushetia (14.51) and Dagestan (15.11).
The above trio is followed by Karachay-Cherkessia (22.02), Kabardino-Balkaria (23.14), Kalmykia (24.95) and the StavropolTerritory (25.30).
The Republic of North Ossetia-Alania (25.97 points), Rostov Region (26.07), Astrakhan Region (27.44) and Volgograd Region (27.54) take the ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth places, respectively.
The Republic of Adygea (30.64) is rated seventeenth; and the KrasnodarTerritory – the 69th with its 40 points.
The website of the Russia's Public Chamber asserts that there are no regions recognized as strong drinkers among the North-Caucasian and Southern Federal Districts (NCFD and SFD).
