Khadzimba's supporters to continue political actions

Two alternative meetings were held in the center of Sukhum today. One of them was staged by people supporting Sergey Bagapsh, the presidential candidate for the opposition, and the other one was in favor of Raul Khadzhimba, the presidential candidate backed up by the present authorities. Approximately 6 thousand people took part in the first action. They called it the National Gathering of the Abkhazian People.

Meanwhile, Raul Khadzhimba holds there was no national gathering in Sukhum. "It was a meeting staged by Sergey Bagapsh's supporters. Several thousands of people who attended it do not decide Abkhazia's fate," Raul Khadzhimba said at a press conference. Political actions will go on, his supporters, who gathered at the building of the state philharmonic society, are not going to break up until the Supreme Court makes a final decision, he announced.
