Head of Kizilyurt GIBDD suspected of robbing his subordinates
After detaining Shamil Shamilov, the head of the GIBBD (traffic police) of the Kizilyurt District, for taking a bribe, investigators started checking complaints of his subordinates, forced, under threat of dismissal, to give him a part of their monthly salary.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the detention of the district GIBDD boss was announced on November 4, but his name was not specified. According to investigators, he threatened to sack his employee, but then agreed to leave him for a bribe of 10,000 roubles. The employee recorded the conversation to the recorder and reported to law enforcers.
The name of the GIBDD boss is Shamil Shamilov, he was detained on November 4, said a Dagestani law enforcement source, adding that the practice of systematic extortions from subordinates was widespread in Shamilov's division, the "Novoye Delo" writes.
His subordinates had to pay 5000 roubles monthly; and those who refused were under threat of dismissal, the "Kommersant" paper reports, citing its law enforcement source.
