Muftiate of North Ossetia requests investigators to identify authors of message in approval of Ibragim Dudarov's murder

In a community of followers of the Ossetian paganism in "VKontakte", someone posted a message expressing support for the murderers of Ibragim Dudarov, Deputy Mufti of North Ossetia, and criticizing a speech delivered by a Muftiate's official in one of the higher education institutions. The Muftiate of North Ossetia has filed a complaint to the law enforcement bodies with a request to bring authors of the post to responsibility for inciting religious hatred.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 26, 2012, Ibragim Dudarov was killed near the village of Chmi on the outskirts of Vladikavkaz. Since 2007, Ibragim Dudarov worked as the Deputy Mufti and was in charge of the education department at the Muftiate.

On November 3, the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) of North Ossetia released a report on the possible involvement of members of a community in "VKontakte" in the murder of Ibragim Dudarov.

On October 28, the message related to the Ibragim Dudarov's murder was published in the community registered under the name "Iron AEgdau" (to be translated as "The Ossetian Custom", –note of the "Caucasian Knot").

"...In particular, a citizen under the nickname 'Iron AEgdau', who writes on behalf of the community, has claimed that he has the information about criminals who committed the murder of Ibragim Dudarov, Deputy Mufti of North Ossetia. Besides, he has expressed the solidarity in the crime on behalf of a group of people, referred to as his associates," write the authors of the complaint.

The Muftiate demands to verify the information published in the social network "VKontakte". The complaint has been addressed to the North-Ossetian Minister of Internal Affairs, the chiefs of the FSB Department for North Ossetia, of the Investigating Department for North Ossetia of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), and the Prosecutor of North Ossetia.
