Azerbaijani resident seriously wounded by shell explosion

Yashar Mustafaev from the pre-border Agstafa District of Azerbaijan lost both hands in an explosion of the shell, which he took up.

Mustafaev lives in the village of Saloglu (Salakhly), where the ammunition, found after the attacks in the Karabakh conflict zone, was gathered.

When the villager picked up one of the shells by his hands, it detonated. Mustafaev was seriously wounded and was rushed to the hospital, the APA reports today.

Doctors operated on the 42-year-old Yasar Mustafaev and amputated both his hands, the "Haqqin.az" writes today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the situation in the Karabakh conflict zone remains tense, in spite of the armistice concluded in April; parties in conflict continue regularly accusing each other of shelling.
