Visitors of Salafi mosque detained in Makhachkala

The police detained several dozens of believers at the Salafi Mosque "Tangjim" in Makhachkala after their Friday namaz (prayer), the believers report.

The detentions were carried out by employees of the Sovietsky ROVD (District Interior Division) of Makhachkala and the Centre to Counteract Extremism (the so-called "E-Centre") of the MIA of Dagestan, said the visitors of the "Tangjim" mosque. According to their story, power agents detained about 50 persons; all of them were taken to the ROVD, the edition named "Novoe Delo" reports.

According to the edition, the ROVD is putting the detainees "to the prophylactic record."
