In Dagestan, law enforcer wounded in shootout near village of Samur

In the Magaramkent District of Dagestan, where counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced, a fighter of the OMON (riot police) was wounded in a shootout with unidentified people. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement bodies.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 4, the CTO legal regime was introduced in the Magaramkent District. In the course of a special operation carried out in the forest near the village of Samur, three suspected militants were killed, including Murad Shamsudinov and Farid Saidov. One law enforcer was killed, and two others were wounded.

"Unidentified people opened fire at fighters of the federal forces from the forest. As a result of the armed clash, a fighter of the Dagestani OMON was wounded," reported a source from the law enforcement bodies as quoted by the "Interfax-South".
