Policeman wounded in attack on DPS checkpoint in Moscow Region dies

Last night, one of the policemen, wounded in the attack of Chechen natives on a road-and-patrol service (known as DPS) checkpoint in Balashikha, died in the hospital.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 17, two young men, armed with axes, attacked DPS inspectors on the 20th kilometre of Schelkovo highway in the vicinity of the town of Balashikha. As a result, two policemen were injured. The attackers were killed. They were identified as Usman Murdalov and Sulim Israilov, natives of Chechnya.

The death of policeman Mikhail Balakin, wounded on August 17, has been reported today by the information service of the N. V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Medicine in Moscow.

Let us remind you that after the attack on the policemen in the Moscow Region, the "Islamic State" (IS), banned in Russia by the court, claimed the attackers had been its supporters.
