Political council of "Sasna Tsrer" plans to hold national conference

Today, according to organizers, about 500 people have come to Freedom Square to discuss the next steps of the "Sasna Tsrer" (Daredevils of Sassoun), the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

On July 17-31, the armed group "Sasna Tsrer", organized by supporters of the opposition movement "Constituent Parliament", held the building of the patrol-and-post police service in Yerevan.

The political council of the movement "Sasna Tsrer" has not yet finalized its roadmap, noted Alek Enigomshyan, a member of the "Constituent Parliament".

According to him, while the members of the "Sasna Tsrer" held the seized building of the patrol-and-post service of the police regiment, they represented the driving force of the movement, and the people mobilized themselves.

Alek Enigomshyan has also said that the plans of the "Sasna Tsrer" include a national conference to be held in September, which shall present the national political agenda.

Ovsep Khurshudyan, a person in charge for relations with civil society, has suggested that in October, the authorities will dismiss the government and continue the pro-Russian policy.

According to David Sanasaryan, a member of the Council of Elders from the block "Hello, Yerevan!", their struggle is directed against the colonization of Armenia.

He has also urged Andrias Gukasyan, a member of the civil movement "Arise, Armenia!", who was arrested on suspicion of organizing mass riots at night of July 30, to stop his hunger strike.
