OSCE mission visits Communists on hunger strike in Krasnodar

The information on the hunger strike held in Krasnodar by members of the "Communists of Russia" Party, who demand the resignation of the Governor of the Stavropol Territory, will be sent to the central office of the OSCE mission. This was announced by Mikhail Abramyan, a participant of the protest action, after the meeting with OSCE observers.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that according to the "Communists of Russia" Party, on August 22, Mikhail Abramyan was kidnapped in Nevinnomyssk. The Communists have accused the administration of the Stavropol Territory of the incident. On August 25, in Krasnodar, Mikhail Abramyan and his two party colleagues set up a tent and began a hunger strike.

Today, the hunger-strikers have been visited by Emil Shakir Uulu and Toril Lund, two members of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).

The OSCE observers have promised to pass the information to the central office of the OSCE mission to Moscow and its leader Jan Petersen, the "Kommersant" reports with reference to Mikhail Abramyan.
