Policeman wounded in capture of police regiment building in Yerevan dies

Physicians were unable to save Gagik Mkrtchyan, who was wounded in a shootout with oppositionists during the capture of the building of the police regiment in Yerevan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 17, supporters of the "Constituent Parliament" seized the building of the patrol-and-post service of the police regiment. In the course of the assault, one police officer was killed, and six other persons were injured. Policeman Gagik Mkrtchyan, one of the wounded persons, stayed in severe condition, despite surgeries.

Gagik Mkrtchyan got extremely severe gunshot wounds, the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Public Health (MPH) reports.
