25 supporters of "Sasna Tsrer" brought to police station

In the evening of August 4, at the centre of Yerevan, about 400 people came to a march and blocked Mashtots Avenue. They demanded to release all the arrested members of "Sasna Tsrer" group (Daredevils of Sassoun). After the protest action, more than dozen activists were detained.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since July 17, in Yerevan, the building of the patrol-and-post service of the police regiment was held captured by members of the armed group "Sasna Tsrer", whose number included supporters of the opposition movement "Constituent Parliament". On July 31, the members of "Sasna Tsrer" group surrendered.

25 participants of the march held yesterday in Yerevan were brought to the police station. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" by a press officer of the Armenian Police.

He has noted that they are charged with violation of order for holding meetings and marches (Article 180.1 of the Administrative Code of Armenia).

According to the press officer of the Armenian Police, after drawing up of administrative reports, all the activists brought to the police station will be released.
