Over 100 rebels' supporters detained in Yerevan
Policemen detained over 100 participants of the oppositional rally near the captured building of the police patrol-and-post service (PPS) regiment, the Police of Armenia reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 29, in central Yerevan, participants of the rally in support of rebels headed towards the captured building, but on the way to the police cordon, power agents dispersed them. As a result, according to the Ministry of Public Health (MPH) of Armenia, 55 demonstrators and four policemen were hospitalized. Also, according to the police, as a result of indiscriminate fire delivered by rebels, another policeman was seriously wounded.
In the evening on July 29, Armen Martirosyan, the Vice-Chairman of the oppositional "Heritage" Party, was also taken to the police, the RBC reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since July 17, in the Armenian capital, supporters of the oppositional movement "Constituent Parliament" are keeping the building of the police PPS regiment. In the building, there are 22 rebels and two doctors and a nurse, taken as hostages.
