Activists built barricades in Yerevan (+video)

In the Armenian capital, protesters have erected barricades in front of the cordon near the seized building of the police regiment. Participants of the protest action have decided to spend the second night at the place to prevent the assault of the building.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning of July 17, in Yerevan, supporters of the "Constituent Parliament" seized the building of the regiment of the patrol-and-security service. During the seizure, one policeman was killed, six others were wounded. The negotiations with the rebels, who seized the building, are underway for the third day. In the evening on July 19, a clash occurred between policemen and activists, when protesters tried to enter the territory of the seized buildings. As a result, according to MP Nikol Pashinyan, four law enforcers were hospitalized.

Today, at about 0:00 a.m. Yerevan time (11:00 p.m. Moscow time of July 19), the activists have erected barricades of metal police barriers, private cars, and garbage cans and thus took control over the exits from the territory around the building of the police regiment, cordoned-off by law enforcers, the "Sputnik Armenia" reports.

Moreover, several dozen activists have decided to spend the night near the cordoned-off building to prevent bloodshed, the "Interfax" reports.
