More than 400 people attend parade for Armenian Day of Constitution

On July 5, Yerevan hosted the parade, dedicated to the Armenian Day of Constitution and the Day of State Symbols: the flag, emblem, and anthem of Armenia.

The parade was started in Freedom Square. Members of youth and scouting organizations marched through the central streets of Yerevan holding in their hands the Armenian state symbols. The marchers unfolded two 100-meter-long flags of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, and a large Armenian emblem, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

According to organizers of the parade, the event was attended by more than 400 people.

The provisions of the Constitution are not met either in whole or in part, and that is why the Armenian people do not feel safe. This opinion was voiced by the residents of Yerevan interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot".

Journalist Ashot Gazazyan believes all articles of the Constitution are important when they protect a citizen. "However, it is ridiculous to talk about that in the country where the number of rich people is so low and the number of poor people is so high. People are leaving the country, and they run away from the Constitution," Ashot Gazazyan told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to Karen Yeritsyan, a resident of Yerevan, it is impossible to feel safe when the basic law of Armenia fails to act. "A lot of people leave the country for that reason. And I do not exclude that I will emigrate myself in order to ensure the safety and future of my children," Karen Yeritsyan told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
