Secret services take DNA samples from Vadim Osmanov's mother

Law enforcers are engaged in checking the version on the involvement of Vadim Osmanov, a native of Dagestan, in the terror act at the Istanbul airport.

On June 28, a terror act was committed at the Istanbul airport. It was reported that three explosions triggered by suicide bombers killed more than 40 persons and wounded 239 others. Sources reported about detained natives of Dagestan, Chechnya and Azerbaijan. Turkish media reported on June 30 that one of the perpetrators of the terror act was Osman Vadinov. Some editions called him a native of Chechnya, others – of Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that, according to a source from the Istanbul police, the suicide bombers had apparently arrived in Turkey with forged documents. According to the same source, the suspect mentioned by the Turkish media as Osman Vadinov came to Turkey with the documents issued in the name of Vadim Osmanov. The Turkish media published a picture of the foreign passport of Vadim Osmanov. According to sources in Turkey and Russia, Osman Vadinov was a native of Dagestan.

For accurate identification of one of the suicide bombers who committed the terror act, law enforcers took DNA from the mother of Vadim Osmanov. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan.

"At present, there are no exact data. However, according to the preliminary information, one of the militants who committed the terror act in Istanbul was Vadim Osmanov, a 23-year-old native of Dagestan. The information is under verification, and DNA samples were taken from the Vadim Osmanov's mother," reported the source as quoted by the RIA "Novosti" on July 4.
