Prosecutor's Office recognizes Erosi Kitsmarishvili's death as suicide
Erosi Kitsmarishvili, the former Ambassador of Georgia to Russia, the founder of the "Rustavi-2" TV Company, committed suicide because of his debts. This was reported by an official of the Prosecutor's Office, who announced the completion of the investigation. Family members of Erosi Kitsmarishvili do not agree with the position of the Prosecutor's Office, reports advocate Gagi Mosiashvili.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 15, 2014, the body of Erosi Kitsmarishvili was found inside a car near his house in Tbilisi.
As a result of the nearly two-year investigation, it is found out that Erosi Kitsmarishvili committed suicide, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent quotes an official from the Prosecutor's Office as stating on air of the "Rustavi-2" TV Channel.
According to the Georgian Prosecutor's Office, Erosi Kitsmarishvili had committed suicide because of his difficult economic situation.
The investigators report that Erosi Kitsmarishvili had a debt in the amount of 312,000 US dollars and 120,000 laris (about 54,300 US dollars). He had also encumbered his apartment with mortgage, states the Prosecutor's Office as quoted by the "Sputnik-Georgia".
"We do not agree with the decisions pronounced by the Prosecutor's Office. Our position is radically different. Tomorrow, we will hold a press conference on the issue. And believe me, our position will be argued. Furthermore, we are also going to talk about the plan of our actions," reports Gagi Mosiashvili, the advocate of the Kitsmarishvili family, as quoted by the "Georgia Online".
