Evkurov demands to punish instigators of brawl in morgue

Yunus-Bek Evkurov, the head of Ingushetia, has demanded from law enforcers should use the available video records to identify participants of the brawl in the hospital morgue of Nazran and the theft of the body of Khizir Galaev. According to Mr Evkurov, instigators of the conflict must be brought to justice, and preventive talk must be held with other participants.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 27 law enforcement sources reported that some dozens unidentified persons attacked the Nazran morgue and took out the body of one of the militants killed earlier in a special operation. The Ingush Security Council refuted the attack, claiming that relatives of one of the killed militants had a brawl with the hospital securities.

Today, at a sitting at the administration, the head of Ingushetia said that the employees of the morgue should be more responsible in performing their duties. He demanded explanation from the respective officials why the person on duty at the morgue was absent at the moment of removing the body; and the keys to the premises occurred in hands of outsiders.

Akhmed Dzeitov, the Secretary of the Security Council, was instructed to study the records of surveillance cameras in order to identify all the participants in the brawl.
