Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of 26 bombardments per day

Over the past 24 hours, Armenian troops have violated the ceasefire for 26 times at the various directions of the frontline by shelling Azerbaijani positions from large-calibre weapons, said the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 16 Vienna hosted a closed meeting of Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia Ilham Aliev and Serzh Sargsyan. They expressed their commitment to a peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict, but the parties continue exchanging accusations of breaking the armistice, concluded on April 5.

The shelling of Azerbaijani positions in the Gadabay District was delivered from nameless heights of the Krasnoselsky District of Armenia. Azerbaijani servicemen were also shelled from the positions near the villages of Yarymdja and Chilyabyurt of the Terter District; of Shuraabad, Yusifjanly, Nemirli and Merzili of the Agdam District; and of Garakhanbeili, Goradiz and Gorgan of the Fizuli District, the "Trend" News Agency quotes the Azerbaijani MoD.

Let us remind you that on May 27 Azerbaijan accused Armenia of 46 acts of shelling per day.
