NAC: five militants killed in Ingushetia

Today, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime has been introduced in the city of Nazran and in the Nazran District of Ingushetia. According to the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), five militants have been killed in the course of the CTO.

"After suppressing last Saturday of the activities of a bandit grouping, associated with the 'Islamic State' (IS), and liquidation of nine hideouts with weapons and ammunition, FSB and MIA agents received information about the presence of militants and their helpers in the territory of the Malgobek and Nazran Districts," says the NAC's statement.

"As a result of a complex special operation in Malgobek and a CTO in Nazran, five bandits were neutralized at rendering fierce armed resistance; three others arrested," the RIA "Novosti" quotes the NAC's message, which also notes that in the venues of armed clashes "automatic weapons, grenades and pistols, including foreign-made ones were found." Besides, during the inspection of the unfinished building, where the killed members of the illegal armed formation (IAF) were hiding, apart from weapons and ammunition, a powerful improvised explosive device (IED) was found.

"There are no civilian victims and losses among law enforcers," the TASS reports.
