Circassian activists complain about non-admission to march in Maikop

In Maikop, the capital of Adygea, about ten horse-riders tried to take part in the mourning march, dedicated to the Remembrance and Mourning Day of the Victims of the Caucasian War. However, according to their version, the head of the "Adyge-Khase" asked them to leave the event.

On May 21, Adygea hosted the events, dedicated to the Remembrance and Mourning Day of the Victims of the Caucasian War of the 19th century. In Maikop, the 152nd anniversary of the end of the War was marked with a march, a rally and a concert-requiem, reports the official website of the Republic of Adygea.

"A cavalry group of about ten riders wanted to take part in the march on May 21, that is, in the Remembrance Day of the Adygs, to support our nation in this difficult moment. But because of Ramazan Tlemeshk, an activist of the 'Adyge-Khase', who, I quote, 'had not invited us to the event,' we had to go back prior to the start of the march," said one of the activists in the video, which has been posted by Adam Erugov, a resident of Maikop, on his pages in the "Instagram" and "VKontakte".

The Circassian activists admitted, on video, that they had not received a permit to participate in the action; however, they expressed disappointment with Tlemeshk's actions.

This appeal has caused resonance among users of social networks. "Horse-riders were not admitted to the march in Maikop... How much they've fed up us with their bureaucracy and conventions... Well done guys that you spoke out," wrote Zaur Batyshev, who posted the appeal on his Facebook page.
