Four policemen injured as a result of the explosion at a checkpoint in Grozny continue to receive medical treatment in the hospital. The wounded policemen are being provided with skilled care, and they can be further transported to a hospital in Moscow. This was reported by an official of the Department for Chechnya of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 9, two armed men attacked the checkpoint in Grozny. One of them blew himself up; the other was killed by policemen. The Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported about six wounded policemen. Men who attacked the checkpoint were identified as 27-year-old Shamil Djanaraliev and 25-year-old Akhmed Inalov.

"Four out of the six policemen, wounded as a result of the yesterday's terror act, still stay in the hospital. And three of them are still in severe condition. Two other wounded policemen who got minor contusions and injuries were provided with medical help and returned to the location of their units," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the MIA's official.

He has reported that four officers and two sergeants of the Russian MIA's Department for Bashkortostan were injured as a result of the terror act.

According to experts, the power of the explosive device, activated at the checkpoint, was about 400 grams of TNT equivalent.
