Gadjiakhmed Kaziakhmedov could be murdered for revenge, investigators suggest

According to investigators, Gadjiakhmed Kaziakhmedov, the father of Felix Kaziakhmedov, the former Mayor of Derbent, could be murdered by extremists for revenge.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 9, the body of 82-year-old Gadjiakhmed Kaziakhmedov with gunshot wounds was found in Derbent. According to the basic version of the investigators, Gadjiakhmed Kaziakhmedov could be murdered by robbers, when he encountered them at home. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement agencies of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD).

Seifudin Kaziakhmedov, killed in 2009, was also a son of Gadjiakhmed Kaziakhmedov, the "Interfax-South" reports today.

Seifudin Kaziakhmedov, the chief of the department for investigation of particularly important cases of the Investigating Committee under the Russian Prosecutor's Office for Dagestan, was killed on May 21, 2009, when he together with his wife left the house. An unidentified man approached Seifudin Kaziakhmedov from behind and fired several shots at him. Seifudin Kaziakhmedov died at the place from the wounds he got. On August 21, 2009, investigators reported that Seifudin Kaziakhmedov was shot dead by Omar Ramazanov, the leader of the "Makhachkala Jamaat", who was killed during a special operation on June 12, 2009.

Colonel Marat Kaziakhmedov, the youngest son of Gadjiakhmed Kaziakhmedov, works for the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office. Thus, among the versions of the murder, the investigators consider the possibility that Gadjiakhmed Kaziakhmedov could be killed by extremists for revenge, the website "LezGiYar" reports.
