Investigators do not seek to reveal all the circumstances of fatal injuring of Nikolai Chistyakov, the 72-year-old former chief narcologist of the Stavropol Territory. He was fatally injured as a result of the conflict with a female police officer. This was reported by relatives of the deceased doctor.

According to the version of the relatives of Nikolai Chistyakov, on March 14, at the intersection of Leo Tolstoy and Peace Streets in Stavropol, while crossing the pedestrian area, Nikolai Chistyakov saw how a woman in a foreign-made car switched on a reverse gear and was driving straight to people and children, who were crossing the road via a pedestrian path. Nikolai Chistyakov reprimanded the woman. She abruptly jumped out of the car, grabbed the older man by his jacket, and pushed him. Nikolai Chistyakov fell down and hit his head on the asphalt. Meanwhile, the woman almost immediately left the place. Nikolai Chistyakov was taken away in an ambulance, and he was diagnosed with open brain injury, the "Stavropol Pravda" reports. On March 31, Nikolai Chistyakov died without regaining consciousness in the resuscitation ward of one of the Stavropol hospital.

The relatives of Nikolai Chistyakov emphasized that the investigators questioned only one person out of the people who witnessed the incident, and the very criminal case was instituted only on April 13, when a month had passed after the incident. According to the relatives, the investigators have failed to question Ms Alekseeva, the suspected culprit of the incident.
