Acquaintances of Sultanov assassinated in Khasanya treat him as honest policeman

Vadim Sultanov, an employees of the Centre to Combat Extremism (known as the “E” Centre) of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), who was killed in 2011, has been was posthumously awarded an order. Sultanov was an honest cop; and his involvement in the "Black Hawks" grouping was false, said his colleagues, interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot".

Vadim Sultanov, 36, was shot dead in the village of Khasanya on December 17, 2011. Later, rumours were spread that he had been the leader of the "Black Hawks" grouping, which threatened with violence to members of the armed underground. The Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has officially denied this version, saying that Sultanov was killed for his professional activities.

On May 6, the order "For Merits to Fatherland" of the fourth degree was given to Sultanov’s widow, the RIA "Kabardino-Balkaria" reports.

"This is the first case in the history of Russia, when this order is awarded posthumously,” said Police Colonel General Sergey Chenchik.

The head of a division of the Centre “E”, named Ruslan, whose deputy Sultanov was, named him “a real officer.” According to his story, the information that Sultanov had been the organizer of the "Black Hawks" is untrue.
