Police questions Kenkhi villagers who met journalists Polonsky

Policemen of the Sharoy ROVD (District Interior Division) have detained two residents of the village of Kenkhi in order to obtain information on the whereabouts of Ramazan Djalaldinov, said Vasily Polonsky, a correspondent of the "Dozhd" (Rain) TV Company.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 30 in Chechnya, a local resident Magomed Akhmedov was detained, who had brought Vasily Polonsky to Kenkhi. A few hours later Akhmedov was released.

The Djalaldinov's video message to Vladimir Putin was posted on the YouTube on April 14. On April 16, Kenkhi residents held a gathering, where they publicly condemned Djalaldinov and treated his message a slander.

According to Vasily Polonsky, policemen of the Sharoy ROVD detained two more villagers of Kenkhi - Djanmirza Alidibirov and Khazbula Akhmedov.

The Chechen rights defender Kheda Saratova clarifies, referring to the local Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), that policemen did not detain the villagers, but only summoned them to the ROVD.

Meanwhile, the journalist Nadezhda Kevorkova wrote on the Facebook about the details of Polonsky's trip to Chechnya.

"The meeting with Vasily Polonsky, a journalist of the 'Dozhd' and a laureate of the Award named after Khadjimurat Kamalov, was attended by 100 villagers. They could detain all of them... But they found out from their informants, who was speaking, and detained them," she wrote.
