Supposed militant wounded at detention in Dagestan

In the village of Sogratl, Gunib District, at an attempt to escape from policemen, a militant, who was on the federal wanted list, was wounded.

According to law enforcers, in the evening on April 18, in a street, a policeman noticed a man similar by signs with a member of the armed underground, who, when asked to stop, threw away his backpack and started running away.

The policeman opened fire; and the man was hospitalized with a gunshot wound, the "Interfax-South" writes, citing a Dagestani law enforcement source and adding that a Kalashnikov was found in a thrown-away backpack.

According to law enforcers, the detainee is a member of the "Gunib" militant grouping, who had been put on the federal wanted list under several articles of the Russian Criminal Code, the "Interfax-AVN" has specified.
