Putin treats Kadyrov's behaviour as his omission

Today, during his communication with people live on air, Vladimir Putin has commented, answering the question of Sergey Dorenko, the editor of the radio station "Moscow Speaking", on the statement of Ramzan Kadyrov about "people's enemies".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 12, the head of Chechnya said that the Russian non-systemic opposition should be treated "as people' enemies and traitors." Rights defenders have treated Kadyrov's words as reckless and dangerous.

According to the video record of the today's event, posted on the website of "Russia-24" TV Channel, Sergey Dorenko reminded the President of Russia, that "we were told that the opposition – are people's enemies and shown the former prime minister [Mikhail Kasyanov] in the optical sight of a submachine gun."

"I know who you mean. Yes, he is today the head of one of Russia's regions, the Chechen Republic. And how did he start? He fought with us in the woods with arms in hand, along with his father. Nobody recruited and nobody forced him. He himself arrived at the conclusion that Chechnya should be with the Russian people and with Russia; and it is in the interests of the Chechen people," the transcript posted on the Kremlin website gives Vladimir Putin's words.

The President of Russia has also noted that harsh statements about the opposition "affect the stability in the country." He has also admitted his guilt for harsh statements of the head of Chechnya.

"I hope that the head of Chechnya and other leaders of Russian regions will perceive the level and extent of their responsibility before the people who live in their territory, and before Russia as a whole. And they will come to the understanding that acting or formulating their attitude to these or those opponents in extreme does not promote stability in our country," Mr Putin said.
