Yerevan demonstrators blame Kremlin for destabilizing Southern Caucasus

Russia breaks its alliance commitments to Armenia by selling weapons to Azerbaijan, said the marchers, who protested in front of the Russian Embassy in Yerevan.

They demanded from Russia to fulfil its obligations of the de jure strategic partner, "since the latter are not only ignored, but are repeatedly violated in the form criminal actions of sale of weapons, including weapons of mass destruction, which threaten the security of Armenia."

They demanded from Russia, when taking decisions, to take into account and respect the security and national interests of its de jure partner – the Republic of Armenia. The participants of the march have also demanded from Russia, as the co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group to stop the actions, which destabilize the situation in the region.

"Immediately stop supplying weapons to Azerbaijan! Otherwise, Armenian public will consider, once and for all, that Russia is not an Armenia's ally; and Armenia, in its turn, also will not burden itself with its ally's commitments," state the activists' claims.
