Nagorno-Karabakh treats accusations of shelling schools and hospitals as a lie

The statement of the Azerbaijani party that the social objects in its territory were exposed to missile attacks is disinformation, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has announced today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today Khikmet Gadjiev, the spokesman of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), has accused the Armed Forces of Armenia "of inflicting controlled missile strikes at social institutions, including schools, hospitals and places of worship."

Another statement with accusations of the opponent of shelling civilian targets, including schools, was released today by the Azerbaijani Ombudsperson Elmira Suleimanova. The APA News Agency quotes her statement that as a result of Armenia's actions "civilians, including women, children and elderly people were killed and wounded."

Today, the statements of Khikmet Gadjiev and Elmira Suleimanova were refuted by Senor Asratyan, the press secretary of the MoD of the NKR.

"The Defence Army of the NKR never shells peaceful dwelling settlements, as well as social civilian objects," the RIA "Novosti" quotes him as saying.
