Imam suspected of involvement in explosion in Novoselitsk

Law enforcement bodies have appointed a check for the involvement of the Imam from the Novoselitsk District, Stavropol Territory, to the today's attack on the local ROVD (District Interior Division). Earlier, explosives were found in the Imam's house, anonymous sources assert.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today an attack was committed on the building of the Novoselitsk ROVD. According to law enforcement bodies, as a result of the attack there were no civilian or police casualties; only the three attackers themselves died: two were killed and one committed a self-explosion. A law enforcement source has stated that the attack was committed by three residents of one of local villages.

The decision of law enforcement bodies to check the Imam of the Novoselitsk District for involvement in the attack was reported by a source from the emergency services of the district. According to his story, the Imam is 26 years old; and at the end of February power agents found in his house 100 grams of explosive, the "Interfax" writes without specifying the names of the Imam and the source.

The explosive was found at the Imam "ten days before the attack on the ROVD," after which he was announced wanted, the "LifeNews" writes, citing an unnamed source.
