Experts see no assassination attempt in explosion in front of house of Ingush Muftiate's official

The circumstances of an explosion of a grenade activated in front of the house of Magomed Khashtyrov, an employee of the Ingush Muftiate, prove that the attack was not aimed at the owner of the house or members of his family. This opinion was expressed by experts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night of April 4, an explosion occurred near the house of Magomed Khashtyrov, Assistant Mufti of Ingushetia, in the Cossack village of Troitskaya of the Sunzha District. No one was hurt as a result of the explosion.

According to a local resident, a staff member of the law enforcement bodies of Ingushetia, the explosion was committed "for resonance."

"Khashtyrov is a supporter of the Muftiate, the former director of the 'Angusht' Radio Station, closed by the order of the Ingush leader (on December 25, 2015, Ingush leader Yunus-Bek Evkurov reported that the activities of the 'Angusht' Radio Station were temporarily suspended following the inspection carried out by the 'Roskomnadzor' (Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Telecom, Information Technologies and Mass Communications), note of the 'Caucasian Knot'), he supports the Khamkhoev's position," said the source.

The explosion in front of the Magomed Khashtyrov's house followed the criticism of the authorities, notes Magomed Mutsolgov, the leader of the Ingush human rights organization "Mashr", an author of the blog on the "Caucasian Knot". According to him, earlier, there have already been cases when grenades were thrown into yards of houses of activists of the Ingush society after they had criticized the authorities.

Magomed Khashtyrov plays no significant role in the opposition of the Muftiate and the leader of the republic, believes Bagaudin Khautiev, a member of the board of the Ingush regional branch of the Association of Lawyers of Russia, Chairman of the Council of youth organizations of Ingushetia.
