Yerevan: number of hospitalized soldiers goes up to 30
On April 5 and 6, 18 soldiers and volunteers injured in Nagorno-Karabakh were brought to the Yerevan military hospital "Muratsan".
30 soldiers receive medical treatment at the hospital, reports Aram Asatouryan, the chief of the Central Military Clinical Hospital of the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MD).
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that according to Aram Asatouryan, doctors assess the condition of five injured persons, including one volunteer, as extremely difficult. The state of most patients is satisfactory.
"Medical institutions are provided with relevant medicines and blood supplies. All the injured persons receive efficient medical care," added Armen Muradyan, Armenian Minister of Health.
At present, only fragmentary information is available about the number of victims of the April escalation of the Karabakh conflict, and there is still no consolidated figure. Armenia acknowledged that 18 soldiers were killed in the combat actions. Nagorno-Karabakh reports on 29 soldiers and four civilians killed, 72 soldiers of the Defence Army are wounded and other 28 are missed in action. According to the UN, on April 2 and 3, at least 30 soldiers and three civilians were killed. At night of April 6, Azerbaijan reported on the deaths of 31 soldiers in the Karabakh conflict zone.
