Relatives of Hussein Betelgeriev state his kidnapping in Grozny

Relatives of Hussein Betelgeriev, a poet and singer, cannot establish his whereabouts since March 31. According to their version, Betelgeriev was taken away from home by "two unidentified men dressed in black uniform."

The house of the Betelgeriev family is located in the neighbourhood of Kalinin in the city of Grozny.

According to Karima Betelgerieva, on April 2, she lodged her application about the disappearance of her husband to the Leninski ROVD (District Interior Division) of Grozny.

Hussein Betelgeriev is a poet, writer and composer, a member of the Union of Writers of Russia. He worked as a teacher at the Chechen State University, from where he retired a year ago, said Karima Betelgerieva.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that last December Khizir Ezhiev, a teacher at the Grozny State Technical University, was kidnapped. His body was found on January 1 in the forest in the outskirt of the village of Roshni-Chu, Urus-Martan District of the republic.
