One child killed and two wounded in shelling in the Karabakh conflict zone

As a result of shelling by Azerbaijan of Karabakh positions, a boy born in 2004 was killed, an two other kids were wounded by a shell rupture, said the MoD of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR). There are victims on both sides of the conflict, said Artsruni Ovannisyan, the head of the press service of the Armenian Army.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today the Ministries of Defence (MoDs) of the NKR and Azerbaijan have reported an escalation of the border conflict. The NKR's MoD has accused the opponent of shelling dwelling settlements, and announced a downed Azerbaijani helicopter.

Artsruni Ovannisyan wrote in his page on the Facebook that "at the moment, intense military operations are underway."

"The Armenian Army is taking punitive measures; and in some places, we've begun counterattacking. There are victims on both sides, but the opponent has lost a large amount of manpower and equipment, including helicopters," he has reported.
