FSIN reports on satisfactory health state of Nadezhda Savchenko

Before her sentence comes into force, Nadezhda Savchenko, a convicted Ukrainian aviator, will be kept at one of the detention facilities of the Rostov Region, the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service (known as FSIN) reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 22, the Donetsk City Court sentenced Nadezhda Savchenko to 22 years of imprisonment in a common-security penal colony and a fine of 30,000 roubles. Nadezhda Savchenko was accused of involvement in the murder of two Russian journalists not far from Lugansk and illegal crossing of the border between Ukraine and Russia. Kristina Belousova has also reported that Nadezhda Savchenko will be sent to a penal colony within 10 days after the receipt by the detention facility of the notification on the sentence coming into force, reports the FSIN.
