Native of Dagestan suspected of involvement in terror acts in Belgium
In Brussels, three citizens of Belarus, including Marat Yunusov, a native of Dagestan, are detained on suspicion of involvement in a series of terror acts, reports a source from the law enforcement bodies of Belarus.
According to the source, three men suspected of involvement in terror acts in Brussels "are citizens of Belarus, who left for Europe some years ago."
"Two of the suspects Ivan and Alexei Dovbash are natives of the Gomel Region, and the third man is Marat Yunusov, a native of Dagestan, who was granted the Belarusian citizenship several years ago," the "Sputnik-Belarus" quotes a source from the law enforcement bodies of Belarus.
Dmitry Pobyarzhin, the chief of the press service of the Belarusian KGB, has stated that the Dovbash brothers and Marat Yunusov "are well-known for the KGB." He has also noted that "the information is being checked to reveal their possible involvement in the terrorist activities," the "RBC" reports.
On March 22, two blasts occurred at the airport of Brussels. Shortly after them, the reports on explosions in the metro started to come. According to the preliminary information, 11 people were killed at Zaventem Airport, and other 15 people perished at Malbec metro station, the "Interfax" reports.
