Foreign journalists discharged from hospital in Ingushetia

Today, journalists from Sweden and Norway, hospitalized after the attack in Ingushetia, have been discharged from the hospital for outpatient treatment.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 9, in Ingushetia, a group of unidentified attackers beat eight human rights defenders, journalists, and a driver of a minivan of the Joint Mobile Group (JMG) on their way to Grozny.

As a result of the incident, four persons, including journalists from Norway and Sweden, were hospitalized. Today, Raikhant Sainaroeva, the head physician of the Sunzha Central Republic's Hospital, has reported that all four victims are in satisfactory condition, and today, they will be likely discharged from the hospital.

As a result of the attack, a number of persons were injured, including Øystein Windstad, a reporter for the Norwegian daily "Ny Tid", Maria Persson Löfgren, a "Swedish Radio" correspondent, Alexandrina Elagina of "The New Times", Egor Skovoroda, a "Mediazona" correspondent, blogger Mikhail Solunin, journalist Anton Prusakov, who collaborated with the "Kommersant", Ekaterina Vanslova, a lawyer of the Committee on the Prevention of Torture, Ivan Zhiltsov, the press secretary of the Committee on the Prevention of Torture, and Bashir Pliev, a minibus driver.

According to Ingush Ombudsman Djambulat Ozdoev, only three of four victims have been discharged from the hospital.
