Supporters of Gusein Gamzatov: fight with deputies results from domestic conflict

Marat Djankhaev and Shamil Atashev, deputies of the Buynaksk City Assembly from "Party of Russian Veterans", have themselves provoked a fight, stated supporters of the former Mayor. According to them, the conflict raised from the misbehaviour of the deputies with respect to a young woman.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 4, Marat Djankhaev and Shamil Atashev, deputies of the Buynaksk City, were brought to hospital after they had been attacked in front of the city administration. This was reported by Marat Djankhaev himself. According to him, the attack involved the people, familiar to the deputies as supporters of Gusein Gamzatov.

The fight between the deputies and the Gusein Gamzatov's supporters "started because of misbehaviour of one of the deputies' friends" with respect to the principal of one of the Buynaksk kindergartens, who came to the city administration to solve some questions. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Zayirbeg Valiev, the former head of the city administration.

Marat Djankhaev has told the "Caucasian Knot" that he was not aware of the incident involving the young woman.

"We together with Shamil Atashev were just standing near the building of the Buynaksk administration, when the supporters of Gusein Gamzatov approached the place... There were about nine of them, including people not familiar to me. They came close to me and hit me without any explanations. After that, I walked away a little, and they attacked me all together in a crowd. Then, they attacked Shamil Atashev who tried to separate us," Marat Djankhaev has said.
