Sochi Mayor announces twofold decrease in prices for "Olympic" cottages
The reduction by 50% of the cost of houses built around the Olympic Park will attract buyers to the auction. This was reported by Anatoly Pakhomov, Mayor of Sochi.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 1, it was planned to hold an auction for the sale of houses built around the Olympic Park in the Sochi village of Tavrichesky. The auction, for which the Sochi Mayor's Office put 49 houses, did not take place because of the absence of bids from potential buyers.
On the air of the radio station "Russian News Service", Sochi Mayor Anatoly Pakhomov has announced that at the auction for the sale of the "Olympic" cottages, the prices for houses can be reduced by 50%, reports the message published on the website of the "Russian News Service" on March 2.
According to Anatoly Pakhomov, the announced measure will increase the demand and attract buyers. "The current scheme will allow us to sell these houses," stated the Mayor of Sochi as quoted by the "Russian News Service".
Let us remind you that since 2011 residents of the "Olympic" settlement in Sochi have been complaining about its derelict condition and misuse. The residents interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" stated that the initials cost of the cottages claimed by the Mayoralty is unreasonably overpriced.
