In Krasnodar, 48 families ask authorities to stop demolition of residential building
Tenants of the residential building have claimed that because of the court's decision on the demolition of the building in No. 70 in Izmailskaya Street, they will be deprived of their only housing and will be left in the street. Meanwhile, all the tenants have the documents on registration of their property rights.
According to the tenants of the building, they have learned from the Internet about the future demolition of their house.
"A month ago, we have occasionally learned from the Internet that our house may be demolished. It turns out that during all the time our developer was sued and lost the case. No one informed us about that. People have bought apartments not at the stage of construction: they have purchased the ready-to-live-in apartments with state registration. Thus, residents of Krasnodar believed that no problems with their house would occur," says Murad Danelyan, a resident of the apartment building, as quoted by the "Bloknot of Krasnodar" on February 28.
The tenants of the house have published on the website "change.org" a petition to Veniamin Kondratiev, Governor of Kuban, with a request to protect their rights.
"The authorities are going to demolish (the house) on the basis of the complaint filed by a neighbour, who believes that the high-rise building is located too close to his land plot. The problems have arisen only now, and nothing of that kind was known when the people purchased their apartments," states the text of the petition.
During two weeks, the petition was signed by 120,358 people.
