In Dagestan, driver of foreign-made car killed in shootout with law enforcers
In the Suleiman-Stalsky District of Dagestan, policemen are engaged in identification of a driver of a passenger car. They shot and killed him when he opened fire on them. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement agencies.
According to the source, the incident occurred near the village of Kasumkent at night on February 26.
"The policemen tried to detain a Honda passenger car, which was on the wanted list. However, the driver did not obey the demands of the policemen and opened fire on them, while trying to escape. The attacker was killed by return fire," reports the source as quoted by the "Interfax-South".
During the shootout, the car caught fire. At present, the law enforcers are engaged in identification of the dead man, the "TASS" reports with reference to a source from the law enforcement agencies of Dagestan.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 24, 2015, in Reduktorny village of Makhachkala, law enforcers shot and killed a man who opened fire on them.
