Source: Murliev was unaware of his role of suicide bomber in Djemikent

Magomedali Murliev had not suspected that his car was stuffed with explosives, and had not prepared himself for the role of a suicide bomber, the "LifeNews" has reported, citing its source from law enforcement bodies.

On February 15, a car was blown up at the GIBDD (traffic police) post, located near the village of Djemikent, Derbent District of Dagestan. The authorities confirmed the death of two policemen and the suicide bomber and 18 wounded people; other sources reported about four casualties.

Investigators have found out that the organizers of the explosion had used for the purposes the 25-year-old Magomedali Murliev. According to the source of the "LifeNews", Murliev was on his way to Azerbaijan, not knowing that his car was stuffed with explosives.

He had hoped to receive medical help in Azerbaijan, since "he was wounded and could no longer stay in the woods with other members of the bandit grouping."

The source said that the car was blown up by means of a remote pendant.

The investigators have questioned Felix Murliev, Magomedali's brother, who said that several times Magomedali was about either to surrender, or go to war in Syria.

The testimony was also given by the father of Admir Talibov, who had been earlier suspected of being the Djemikent suicide bomber. The father, Elzhan Talibov, said that he had known for what purpose his son had bought the exploded car.
