Native of Vladikavkaz put on wanted list in relation to Domodedovo terror act
Investigators have announced they are searching for a person who is suspected of aiding terrorists and is involved in committing grave and especially grave crimes, including the terror act at the Domodedovo Airport in 2011.
On January 24, 2011, at the Domodedovo Airport, a terror act was committed, killing 37 and wounding 172 persons. Investigators have found that the explosive device was triggered by a suicide bomber named Magomed Evloev. The defendants in the case were the brothers Islam and Ilez Yandiev, Akhmed Evloev and Bashir Khamkhoev. They all refused to plead guilty. On November 11, 2013, the Moscow Regional Court sentenced the Yandievs and Khamkhoev to life imprisonment; Evloev was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
"Now, a 35-year-old native of Vladikavkaz has been put on the international wanted list; he had been wanted earlier for involvement in other crimes, and, as it turned out, was also involved in preparing the terror act at the Domodedovo Airport as a member of the gang 'Riyadh-Al-Saliyhin'," said a law enforcement source.
According to his story, the gang "was a part of the terrorist grouping 'Imarat Kavkaz', banned in Russia."
According to law enforcers, the suspect was not directly involved in the explosion, but supplied weapons and explosives to the gang, and also conducted the intelligence, the TASS reports.
