The Basmanny Court of Moscow has extended the arrest of four out of five defendants in the murder case of politician Boris Nemtsov until March 7. The arrest of the accused Tamerlan Eskerhanov was extended until March 8.
"The petition lodged by investigators on extension of the arrest of the defendants shall be granted," The RAPSI quotes the judge as announcing.
The suffered party will get acquainted with the materials of the case until May 28. Then, the case files will go to the defendants and their advocates. After that, the case files will go to the Prosecutor's Office for approval of the indictment; and then – to the court for consideration on the merits, the "Russia Today" reports.
Let us remind you that Boris Nemtsov was killed on February 27, 2015, in central Moscow. All the five defendants came from Chechnya and Ingushetia. On January 29, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) announced the end of the investigation against them. All the five have seen the final charge.
