The Road to Nowhere exhibition is over in Ryazan

The street photo exhibition "The Road to Nowhere" was staged within the framework of the "How Many?" campaign in Ryazan from June 5 to June 7. Works of Valery Shchekoldin (Russia), Yury Kozyrev (Russia), and Stanley Green (USA) were presented at the exhibition. Their photos shot in the area of the Chechen conflict have been published by the largest foreign information agencies, but Russians have been given a small chance of seeing them.

The "How Many?" campaign and "The Road to Nowhere" exhibition are organized by the Ryazan Human Rights Coalition, which unites the Ryazan human rights society Memorial, the Ryazan Committee of Soldier's Mothers, the Ryazan Human Rights School, and the Sasovo human rights center Choice of Conscience.

The exhibition was staged at one of the most popular places of the city - on Pobedy Square. No less than 9 thousand people visited the action for three days, according to the organizers' estimate. 1,157 letters of inquiry to the president and the defense minister were collected during the exhibition. The total number of the letters of inquiry signed by Ryazan residents within the framework of the "How Many?" campaign has reached 1,778.

The organizers note that the majority of Ryazan residents who visited the exhibition supported the demand to stop the war in Chechnya.

The composition created with the help of Ryazan photo artists will become mobile. This exhibition is expected to be staged in Moscow in the near future.
