Relatives are searching for detained resident of Dagestan
Zurab Mamedov, a resident of Makhachkala, was taken to the police and told his relatives that he was forced to give a DNA assay. Law enforcement bodies deny Mamedov's detention.
Zurab Mamedov was detained by power agents this morning, one of his relatives told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. Mamedov said on the phone that he was forced to give blood for a DNA analysis, but he refuses to do so.
"After that, calls didn't reach him; and then the phone was switched off," said the relative.
According to his story, Mamedov was registered by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). Earlier, Mamedov was detained in 2013 for participating in a rally in support of advocate Murad Musaev.
Let us remind you that the rally in support of Musaev was held in Makhachkala on November 29, 2013. Its participants opposed the prosecution of the advocate, who became a defendant in the cases of bribing witnesses. In December 2013, local residents reported about mass detention of protesters.
